Korg is a good brand with some history to it. My purchase coming up pretty soon here is from their new analog electronic line, Monotron.
I would classify it as toy synthesizers, but the Monotron lineup is affordable and kinda clever, I think. The one I am going to get is the Monotron DUO, with dual oscillators, to teach myself the basics.
Going to try simple stuff at first, like see if I can feed the Monotron's output into my Sony Music Studio 8.0 - that is kinda low-end, also, but the operator interface is surprisingly sophisticated, and all the loops and stuff they supply with it are amazing, there is so much of it, wow.
There are a lot of interesting demo-type videos available for those gadgets, its kinda educational. It pays to read the fine print, one review video admits to having received his Monotron free from Korg, unsolicited, just to get him to try it out. Some guys have all the luck!
I don't make a living at DJ, but I might do a one-of-a-kind DJ for a special occasion. AFTER I get my electronic equipment together. My first purchase, coming up soon, is a Korg synthesizer. A mixer,
like what you would expect a DJ to use, will come later, idk when,
5TH round ist against Evanescense (gasp!) It's already starting out as a hot battle!
Hoping we kann WIN it!
If everyone saying THe Love TH VOTE as much as possible,
THen we WILL WIN!
but I know not everyone ist, sadly.
