hmm... Leehom Wang, Eastman School of Music...
I listened just a bit to chinked-out at YouTube, from the
"Heroes of Earth" Album, and one or more
of his tracks will find their way into Traq100 - it's good! THANKS!
Music, yes. Just one example: when I was in the U.S. Air Force,
I was always stationed CONUS (continental United States) so I
did a LOT of highway driving to and from my assignments and home,
here in St. Louis. So I listened to the car RADIO a lot to pass the
time on those long highway trips!
It will take me awhile to get stuff done this week owing to a lot of
distractions, like a trip to the dentist. But I am really looking forward
to Leehom's music! Thank you so much!
I also enjoy restoring or "fixing up" older tracks. I sometimes mark those tracks with "[Traq100 edit]".
Basically that involves making them sound louder. Sometimes, it is complicated!
For example, the current [Track 1], by Steve Miller Band, did not sound good after a simple volume boost.
So I used my Advanced Sound Editor to take a closer look. One track had a lot of "clipping" or volume spikes, while the other stereo track had almost none. I patiently reduced those volume spikes, then amplified each track independently until they sounded good together, in stereo.
I like the result, and hope my Traq100 listeners do, too!
"23" is a [Traq100 edit] that really sounds different from the original. Frankly, the sound engineer or producer did not fulfill the artist's intentions very well (CherryTree's sound engineers and producers are very good!).
About the Korean thing, I scan YouTube, iTunes, amazing Amazon, yahoo search, Martin's Radio, and my e-mail from Record Label Companies for "toe-tapping tunes" that make me happy. I could care less which country they come from.
The only "agenda" I am PUSHing is "music without borders".
Anyone who makes good music that somehow comes to my attention could end up on the Traq100 Player (maybe 100 tracks isn't enough!).
I can't sing or play a note of music, but I can't get enough of it, so I hope you forgive my long comment!
