Dear Ellie, I love you because there are no words to describe you. I have no emotional story for you to feel sympathy for, or maybe I could write better if I was a music critic, but I am not. I am just a long time fan, and I hope if you ever read our love letters to you, you will think, damn it, American fans rock.

And I could write a novel about how amazing I think you are, but I do not know you to such a personal level. I love how you acknowledge us fans like family. Just like giving us this opportunity to see you perform live, would make many dreams come true. I love that your music inspires me to push through the toughest days, as cliche as it sounds, headphones in, volume up, and the day gets better. The first time I heard you perform live I stood waiting 3 hours for, and it was by far the best day of my life. I think it was your voice that captivated the entire crowd and I soon forgot how bad my feet were hurting or how I was sandwiched in between racks of clothing and 15 foot tall people. I have to say though, before discovering Ellie Goulding, I didn't know what good music was, I was just listening to whatever was out there that everyone else listens to. Your music speaks to me in a different way, you sing about things that you have gone through, personal things especially, things that I have gone through, that I can relate to. You don't sing about partying, drugs, sex, or being famous. You don't have to change yourself to show anyone, you accept who you are and that is really rare for an artist. Ellie, you are one damn good role model because you let us fans know there is more than lyrics to your songs. You have a story behind every song, not just words anyone can sing. I appreciate that you sing your songs with emotions and things that matter(ed) to you, to me, to all of your fans. It is amazing to see how I, how we all, can relate to you in the slightest way and not even know you. Ellie, you are unique, beautiful, and different from everyone out there. The best thing is you really appreciate and is super down to earth and friendly with you fans, which is really rare. You are truly an amazing and an inspiring artist and person in general, someone to look up to. Thank you for being such a wonderful person. I hope you never ever change. And I wish one day the whole world will know your music, and sing along because I can't stop this music traveling round with me wherever I go, its playing for you. I love you forever Ellie and I will be a fan forever, listening to your music even when I'm old and crinkly.

i don't know where the rest off my story just went, so i just retry to write it again, i don't know if it would be okay this time, i really hope so, but to reed this you really need to read the first part off the story, somewhere below this one haha

i got this poster from you, hanging next to my bed, i got it from the englisch cosmopolitan, so cool that they sell the englisch cosmopolitan in this freaking tiny but still lovely town, but anyway, i hang it next to my bed, so every morning my alarm goes, witch is "your song", i look up to that gorgeous picture off you and it just makes my day. to see you up smiling and loving the photoshoot and everything,

okay i probably can't make it any longer, like i had before, but anyhow removed for half of the story,

i just wanted to tell you i really do love every tiny little detail about you, and all off this might sound kind off creapy, but all of your music and lyrics are changing my life. and i really hope to see you soon ellie, i wish you the best with everthing you will ever do in life :)

i love you're just a small town girl that made with hard work her dream come true, and that means you're just such an amazing rolemodel for everybody who has passion for things they really love,

i hope to see you soon ellie, anywhere anytime, i don't care, as long as i can be at one off your amazing concerts

with love from me <3

Ellie is the epitome of an artist. she captures the full attention of anyone who happens to be lucky enough to be listening. she is so relatable, but she makes situations and life sound otherworldy when she sings. she truly has a gift for writing. and oh my goodness, her stage presence. she demands the attention of everyone in the room, without even trying. she is a magnetic force, and you can''t help but watch when she is on stage, singing her heart out, and dancing all over the place :) she is definitely aware of what her fans want when she performs. i've been listening to her since i found her on myspace a few years ago, and have been hooked since. i've played her for my family friends, and have yet to find somebody who doesn't love her :) it honestly feels like it's my sister or best friend and i'm so proud when i hear her music in the background like in the movie kickass or in the show awkward. i freak outtttt :) she really will take over america, just like she did the uk. when i listen to her music, i feel like she embodies everything i wish i could convey to others, and i feel like she is the one singer i can fully and genuinely relate to and can say her music changed me and saved my life. seeing her perform live is epic, and to be able to see her again would be the greatest thing ever. i love ellie so incredibly much! if i win these tickets, i want to bring my sister, who is close (but not quite :) ) to loving her as much as i do! this would be a dream come true for us!

I would absolutely love to win these tickets for Ellie's show. I can't go through saying all this and that about loving her personality and jazz, because frankly I don't know her on a personal level. I will say that her personality on stage and her performance is legitimately AMAZING. I have never been to a show like hers, the show she did in Portland back in April rocked my world. I'd known about her music for about a year before that, then when tickets for a venue so close to me popped up, I jumped on the opportunity. Before the show I went and ate dinner in the lounge with my buddy, and eventually we realized that her and her band we're all eating a couple of tables away, granted I wasn't about to run up interrupt their dinner asking for autographs or anything like that, it was still a bit awe-striking in a sense. Anyways, I entered to win these tickets to her show at the W hotel in San Fransisco, and because the original winners couldn't afford their own airfare there, the list dwindled down and eventually came to me. I accepted the idea of buying my own airfare, it seemed like a once in a lifetime opportunity! I ended up getting stuck at work just slightly later than expected and missed my flight, I've been waiting for another opportunity like this for a while. Win or lose, you'll still be able to find me waking the neighbors or driving around with a loud stereo rocking out to Ellie Goulding, whether it be to Lights, or a cover of Jolene(which I think was by Dolly Parton originally?), either way, her voice is epic. :] Thank you for your consideration,
Jared

okay, so my englisch really ain't that good, so forgive for any mistakes.

and i'm not going to write down everything that i really love about you, because that would take way to long.. hehe, so i don't really know what i am writing, i'm just hoping to win it.. !

so i'm just sitting behind my desk, listening to, ofcourse, Ellie, as always, with some ben&jerry ice cream, and i'm thinking to myself, seriously i want to win, i really really really want to win this, just like the time i stayed up really really late, though i had school the next day, and a seriously important test. but there was this thing that you almost had a milion fans on facebook and you where gaving away a meet and greet and the winner gets to go to london. so i stayed up and entered the competition, and it was a change of 1/1000, but the idea that i had this very tiny change to meet you made my sleepless night okay, i really couldn't sleep because i was to nervous if i did everything right and if i still had that tiny little change. but anyway, this kind off is the beginning of my letter about what i really do love about you, or what i would do to be at one of your awesome concerts, as you sang, i would give my life, i probably would, after i saw your concert ofcourse hehe :)

it's just so frustrating, i'm sitting every night by my window, listening to the radio, hope someday i'll hear your cute britsch accent on the radio in one of your amazing songs. But i'm waiting and hoping for a year by now i think, because i live in holland, and don't get me wrong i love holland. but when it's about music, your music, i freaking hate it hear because i can't hear your voice everytime i put the radio on. And that's just making it really hard on me...

But there was this one time that i heared a remix of lights, so i had gone nuts, i turned up the volume, went jumping on my bed, and was screaming YEAHHH. but that was untill my mom came in, screaming like, omg marleen, stop it, it's the middle of the night, i love my mum, but at that moment i did not gave a damn about what she said, because it was you finally on the freaking dutch radio :D

but i know, you've bin before on the dutch radio, especially on 3fm, you've bin there at giel, and just as him, ofcourse i was blown away hehe. that day, you where live on the radio, in our own cute holland, i skipped school and went to the libary with some earphones and listened to the small interview and the songs you played, i had like tears in my eyes, because it was a bit off a crappy time for me then and to hear you on my radio, so pure and beautiful was amazing!

but after my amazing libary adventure, my mum and school found out, s*** -.- i got detention for 2 weeks, and i was grounded for a month, but it was so worth it because i really felt like i was in that studio enjoying all of your music.

and actually i'm saving all my money now, i'm taking 3 jobs, so i can pay a ticket to anywhere you play one day, i really really really want to see you, at least just one time, so it can be the greatest night off my life and i can just let everything go and listen and watch you as such a cute and kind personality on the stage, i just want to be in that atmosphere and feel the beat and stuff.

my mum will probably never let me go just to go on a plane and see one off your amazing concerts, but if i got the money, i really don't care, i'll find someone to take with me and just go, there are kind people all over the world right ?

i know you'll probably will come to holland one time or anywhere near to holland, because your awesome music is really taking over the whole planet, but still i want to see you so much faster, i don't want to wait for a year, so tomorrow will be cool haha

wow i took time to read all the comments and i loved all of them, i wanted to see Ellie live i can see that there are many fans who want this more then I do.

I love Ellie's music and personality, her attitude towards her music, towards what she does, you can tell there is passion, a story behind every word, every lyric.

I havent seen her live yet, sadly, school always came in my way. Today was my last final and i am ready to see her live and get inspired from seeing her live on stage. it would be quite magical to see her live after being a fan of her for over a year. if i dont get to see her friday night, i sure do hope i get to see her saturday, that would be great to start me summer with her performance. never heard anything bad about her <3

I absolutely love Ellie. The first time I heard her was when I was living in England February 2010. She was a new sound, a new voice in the UK. I was taken away. I went through the toughest heartbreak a month later, and her music and lyrics were there helping me, making me the feel so wonderful. She took my breath away with her music. I have never been so inspired by musician in years! I have had the pleasure to watch her grow into a huge success, and it so amazing to see how far she has come!!! Now, she will always continue to bring back the beautiful memories I have of England, especially Norfolk. Thank you.
