Pinch punch first of the month!
We played at Werchter Festival last night in Belgium, and I can honestly say that it was one of our finest shows! Our favourite show from the year before was also in Belgium..the Belgums, Belgians? are bananas!
We stayed to watch Muse on the mainstage. I know they always win "Best Live Act" but I wondered, "Did people just vote for them just because they always win it?" - but no, they really are one of the best live bands I have seen. Flawless, and SO tight.
Out hotel was a little run down, but I think we were too tired to care. Not having an ironing board is a big deal to me, I hate having a creased shirt. A few of the Croux went out last night until about 6am..and they weren't looking TOO happy when 11am bus call cropped up on them.
Today we are about an hour out of Lille playing a show at some old army barracks. We're playing on the mainstage with Jamiroqui, The Black Eyed Peas and David Guetta. Not the kind of show you expect to be playing when you started out playing punk shows in divey bars in Lincoln.
The weather is so hot. It feels just like it did being in Texas! We're planning buckets of ice water being on stage that we can dip our hands into in between songs, as our usual fans are going to be blowing hot air at us!
I'll update later about how the show went
