Vocally, Kills does a lot of the heavy lifting, mysteriously purring out golden lines like “Boy I got a Ph.D / I got a Masters in boyology,” before Far East Movement swing in with a commanding “Lights out!” followed by a thumping beat-drop courtesy of Caldera.
One of the biggest accomplishments of “Lights Out” is how it manages to successfully combine the sounds of three very different artists, without turning into a big a hot mess. The sinister stylings of Natalia are present, as is Far East Movement’s own brand of lowrider electro-crunk, and Junior Caldera’s catchy French house, resulting in one amazing club banger.
