"I think those teenage lyrics and that mood is, to me, also this thing that I sometimes feel no matter how old I get. I’m always going to feel like this person on the outside looking in. And I think it’s an important subject and it’s one that I’m always going to be interested in because it’s the driving force behind what a lot of people do. ‘Nobody understands me, I’ve got to tell them how I feel’ – that emotion is amazing to me."
