1. What are some good tips to complete an MSC Dissertation (research project)?
MSC students are required to write a MSC dissertation at the end of the course. Is this research project based on workplace research or it can also be completed by consulting books and journals? This dissertation should be of 16,000 to 20,000 words. Please help me with some skills and tips in completing this project. Thanks a lot.

2. Some Ideas For MSC IT Dissertation Ideas (Projects)
I am a student currently on an MSC course in computer network management and have to start on my MSC IT dissertation in a month. These are a few interesting topics I have come up with. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

i. Asset management - applications and methods for real time location services:
Active rfid (and to a more limited degree passive rfid) is being leveraged in the health care industry, retail, etc. to manage to high value, mobile assets. as the costs associated with these systems fall, what are the potential applications for network management to leverage this technology?

ii. On a change control system:
that might not be a good description, but what i'm talking about is being able to implement a change control system that applies rigorous restrictions on any changes being made without the change having been approved. as you may or may not know, most issues occur because someone changed something, and they often times do this outside of the change control system. so how do we manage changes made to the infrastructure i. concretely? probably the nexus of change and configuration management, and ALL access to ALL infrastructure probably needs to flow through a central (or several points) of control. but those points of control need to understand what is being accessed, by whom, at what level, what they are doing, and if what they are doing has been approved (or is simply generally allowed).

1. Topic for dissertation on MSC Management (Human Resource)?
I am a student currently on an MSC course in human resource management and have to start on my MSC management dissertation in a month. These are a few interesting topics I have come up with. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

? How does human resource management differ in a 9-5 organization compared to that of one which deals with shift workers, like the emergency services? How do they manage the staff, their requests, etc if they work nights?

? How different companies try to recruit and train their workers to give the company the greatest competitive advantage over its competitors?

Thanks
Thornsey

Hello, I am just 17 but very smart: I wanted to help but what if your topic was on: Human Resources Management: Take on High Employee Turnover in the Business IT Industry. I think instead of place your topic on a question talk about a problem and how to solve it. Because that is what Human resources is for. If you don't like it let me know.
