Cherrytree Records

Your Pop Alternative Source

June was an action-packed month here at Cherrytree.  Although Cherrytree Records and Cherrytree Radio are based in Santa Monica, California, our artists and staff travel around the world every month to bring you the best in Pop Alternative music.  In compiling this month's edition of "Martin's Photo Blog," I realized that my trusty camera and I had racked up a lot of frequent flyer miles while getting to witness some extra-ordinary events as well as exclusively candid moments.  I'm excited to get to share these with you now.

The month of June started off with a trip to beautiful San Francisco where Sting performed on his "Back to Bass" tour.  (Don't miss this tour as Sting's set is packed with hits from both his tenure in The Police and as a solo artist.  Check out the tour dates here.) I snapped this shot of Sting playing the giant guitar back stage in San Francisco on June 2nd. Sting is rocking the Summer on his "Back to Bass" tour before launching his brand new album, "The Last Ship," on September 24th on Cherrytree Records.  To find out more about Sting's new album, you can watch this.

From guitar to keytar:  I took this photo of Robyn wailing on the vintage Casio synth-axe on June 4th at world-famous Hot Rocks Studios (also home to hitmixer Robert Orton).  Robyn was in Los Angeles doing some early writing sessions for her new album which is planned for release on Cherrytree Records in 2014.  To check out Robyn's new video for her song "U Should Know Better" featuring Snoop Lion, click here.

Willy Moon is a mysterious individual.  Who would have known that his post-show ritual - pictured here on June 4th at the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles - involves a fresh, whole pineapple.  To see and hear a sample of Willy Moon's music - a post-modern blend of hip hop and early rock 'n' roll, click here.

This shot captures big-voiced singer Ivy Levan in an almost trance-like state delivering her "swamp-hop" to a captivated audience at Sayers Club in Hollywood.  It was a packed show and set the stage for Ivy's US tour opening for Fitz and The Tantrums which is in progress as I type.  You can view those tour dates here as well as find out about Ivy's new Cherrytree Records release "Introducing the Dame," out now.

Man, this was one hot & sweaty show courtesy of Marianas Trench and a sold-out crowd of "Trenchers" at Iriving Plaza in New York City on June 10th.  I took this photo just as lead singer Josh Ramsey jumped off the stage and into the audience to lead everyone in a pretty sophisticated sing-along, MT-style.  Both Josh and NYC got pipes!  You can get Marianas Trench's Cherrytree debut, the "Face the Music" EP, here.

This is a photo that I can only consider an extreme privilege to have been able to take. Pictured from left to right are Josh (Marianas Trench), Mike (MT), Sting, Matt (MT) and Ian (MT).  Wow.

Sting performing in Atlantic City with his trademark vintage Fender P-Bass.

Here's a side of Sting people don't usually get to see:  Chillin' back stage, catching up on a book.  Yes, that's a Cherrytree hoodie on the table!

Pictured above are Natalia Kills, Josh Ramsey of Marianas Trench and I out celebrating Josh's birthday in New York City.  To see Natalia's new video for "Problem" click here.  To listen to her new single "Saturday Night," go here.

I clicked this one on the red carpet at the Much Music Awards in Toronto.  Marianas Trench - who were nominated for the most awards and performed on the show - are known for their outlandish entrances and this one was no exception!

Cherrytree's Matthew Koma visited Larry Flick on his Morning Jolt program on Sirius XM OutQ 109.  Larry got Matthew talking about the Long Island hard-core scene of all things!  You can hear the interview again at these times as well as Matthew's inspired writing on Zedd's hit "Clarity."  Listen to Matthew's own arresting acoustic version from The Cherrytree House here.

Ever wondered what they'd look like if the members of Far East Movement worked in an office? Well, maybe not exactly like this but J-Splif, Kev Nish, DJ Virman and Prohgress took on the roles of a water-delivery dude, a janitor, a Sun-splash business rep and "The Boss" respectively for their new video "The Illest" featuring Texas MC Riff Raff.  Check out the crazy trailer here.

The month of June packed a punch and it was fun getting to witness and chronicle these special moments with my camera.  July's got a lot up its sleeve too what with Ellie Goulding on tour with Bruno Mars, Jessie Ware performing, Deap Valley on tour and Colette Carr dropping her much-anticipated full-length "The Skitszo Collection" along with much, much more.  Stay tuned to and thanks for checking out "Martin's Photo Blog."

like this website style very much...The Replica Rolex accumulating is amongst the outstanding collections of Audemars Piguet Replica watches in the globe, and accepting the absolute accumulating at just one abode is not this kind of a simple work.
