Your Pop Alternative Source
That's right...it says Yanni. Different rooms of course but same venue.
For this show I didn't want to film anything or keep up with set lists. Honestly I just wanted to bask in the beauty of Feist. Her delivery and sound is like taking Karen Carpenter and mixing it with the delivery and raw passion of Roberta Flack in "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face". I wanted to just zone out for this one and keep up with absolutely nothing.
I wasn't sure if I heard sickness in her voice or exhaustion. There was something affecting her in my opinion, though she sounded amazing. It made me wonder if this ailment is what prompted her to have a "talent show". She brought up contestants to sings or play an instrument. I personally wanted to be called on so badly. I was having dream flashes like Ralphie in "A Christmas Story" during the sequence where he got an A+ on his paper and everyone rejoiced. I was going to bring that house down but sadly I wasn't called on :( I was ready though. I was waiting for my "Colette Moment".... Rec'ers would get that.
She spun a web of captivating beauty and for once...I really have nothing to report in a blog....I was consumed by the voice of an angel. We all were mesmerized in the venue. The musicianship was impeccable and it was a lesson in unique songwriting, instrument proficiency, and a voice that is truly can only be acquired as a gift.
