The Far East Movement show in Indianapolis, IN. on September 30th was my first in person experience with the group. They took the stage equipped with their trademark space helmets and went into a blistering rendition of "Girls on the Dance Floor". When "Like a G6" was performed, the college aged crowd erupted. The local Indianapolis radio stations have been feverishly spinning "Like a G6" so all the college kids were quite aware of the song. "Go Ape" and a remarkable sounding "Rocketeer" rounded out the set.
As for my impression, they were outstanding live. One of the most important elements of a live show is to offer the crowd a presence they can't keep their eyes off of. Without the use of any set or elaborate lighting, Far East Movement entered the stage and kept it fresh and interesting and most importantly interactive. They were the only group that night that through freebies to the audience which made them go crazy with excitement.
Here is what video I could get before I was told to stop filming.
