(Los Angeles, CA - February 17, 2012) - After a string of successful music video debuts for top artists such as Lady Gaga and Maroon 5, E! now invites viewers to put on their shufflin' shoes as the network exclusively presents the world premiere of the music video for LMFAO's newest single "Sorry for Party Rocking." In recent years, LMFAO has led the electro-pop music scene with their fist-pumping beats and high-energy performances. Their sophomore album Sorry For Party Rocking (Party Rock/will.i.am/ Cherrytree/Interscope) was recently certified gold and quickly approaching platinum. The album has produced two #1 singles, "Party Rock Anthem" and "Sexy And I Know It," while the third single "Sorry For Party Rocking" is climbing the Top 40 radio charts. Now, fresh off their performance with Madonna at the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show, this chart-topping group will premiere the video for their third single off the album "Sorry for Party Rocking" exclusively on E! Monday, February 20th at 11:30pm ET/PT right out of a new episode of "Chelsea Lately." The video will be available on E! Online directly after it airs on the network.
LMFAO is made up of Redfoo and his nephew, SkyBlu, who points out that they "rock the party and lead by example." Their sophomore album is titled Sorry For Party Rocking because, as Redfoo says, "Sorry for party rocking is a party person's excuse for having fun." The video was shot at the Universal Studios lot, and the cast includes members of 'America's Best Dance Crew,' Beat Freaks. Directed by Mikey Finnegan, who has directed for this group previously, the video is a play on the movie "House Party." With a full day of filming party scenes, the entire crew came prepared all dressed in the new 'party rock' clothing line. Redfoo asserts "It doesn't matter if you're rich or poor...'party' is a whole genre that everyone was discounting, but that's all we want to do."
The Los Angeles-based duo LMFAO has been partying since their 2009 full-length album Party Rock hit the club scene and earned a GRAMMY nomination and praise world-wide. Their first single "Party Rock Anthem" was the #2 most selling song of 2011 on iTunes in the U.S. behind Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" and it was the #1 selling song on iTunes in the UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden. The "Party Rock Anthem" video was featured by KIA in their award winning KIA Hamster advertising campaign. LMFAO's music has been licensed by movie and television shows, including 20th Century Fox's holiday hit "Chipwrecked," Fox's TV hit "Glee" and the top charter game "Just Dance 3." And most recently, the duo appeared in national commercials for Budweiser including a Bud Light commercial that aired rightbefore the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI Halftime show where LMFAO also performed with Madonna. LMFAO has performed on numerous television shows including Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Good Morning America, The American Music Awards and D*** Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest. Currently, they are touring Europe with Far East Movement and Matthew Koma.
As a leader in pop culture and entertainment, E! is the ideal fit for the world-wide premiere of LMFAO's new music video. Don't miss the exclusive debut of the "Sorry for Party Rocking" music video only on E! Monday, February 20th at 11:30pm ET/PT.
