Feist - The Murat Egyptian Room - Indianapolis, IN. 04/30/12.

That's says Yanni.  Different rooms of course but same venue.

For this show I didn't want to film anything or keep up with set lists.  Honestly I just wanted to bask in the beauty of Feist.  Her delivery and sound is like taking Karen Carpenter and mixing it with the delivery and raw…

Far East Movement - Jimmy Kimmel Live - Super Bowl Village Indianapolis, IN. 02/04/12

I found myself in the Super Bowl Village all weekend starting with an attempt on Friday Night to see LMFAO.  Unfortunately the police had not intervened to control the flow of pedestrian traffic so it was a complete nightmare to move near the block the stage was on.  At one point I realized the closest I could get…

The Knux - Birdy's - Indianapolis, IN. 12/1/11.

What a pleasure to see the Knux.  This band understands feel and how to use their influences to enhance their music without you thinking its blatant.  I heard so many influences in their work but could never say that they copied their heroes....they infused (infusions) those influences into a sound…

Canadian Cherrytree Pop Alternative Tour - Air Canada Centre - Toronto, ON. 11/14/11.

This was my first time in Canada and it was wonderful.  Getting to see all the Cherrytree talent on one stage was an amazing experience and worth the trip.  I knew that with an all Cherrytree roster on a single tour, it would…

Feist - Riviera Theater - Chicago, IL. 11/4/11

One thing Feist understands is the art of "feel".  She clearly goes to the trouble of searching for vintage gear to achieve this versus using the state of the art equipment available.  Even Mayor Rahm Emmanuel was present to enjoy a unique perspective in music, I am not sure his head was exploding like mine trying to…

FrankMuzik - The Vogue - Indianapolis, IN. 09/20/11.

This was my first time to see Frankmuzik do his set of yet to be released songs from "Do It in the A.M".  When he walked out he told the audience of his realization that they were not familiar with his work yet.  He has a point, I watched the legendary David Bowie blaze through "Rebel Rebel" to 3000 dancing…

LMFAO - Old National Centre - Indianapolis, IN.. 08/23/11

WOW, party rockin was in the house tonight.  This was my first LMFAO show and these guys know how to throw a party.  It was like watching P-funk with roughly 8 dancers and many stage props and clothing changes.  These guys are as hilarious live as they are in their songs, at one point stripping down to small…

Natalia Kills - Borderline Music Signing, Allstate Arena, and Roscoe's Show 08/21/2011

August 21, 2011 was a busy day being that I drove into Chicago early to catch 3 different shows by Natalia Kills.  The first show was a 1:00pm signing at Borderline Records.  The second was a magnificent opportunity to open for Katy Perry, and the third was a late night show at Roscoe's in Boystown Chicago.…

Far East Movement - Verizon Wireless Music Center - Noblesville, IN. 08/14/11

I have seen Far East Movement in many venues but this by far is the largest venue.  This go around they had the addition of a live drummer which I found made the music sound even richer with the one & sometimes two keyboard parts being played.  The crowd was very receptive and I was so proud to see them with hard…

Ellie Goulding - Lollapalooza - Chicago, IL. 08/06/11

We made our way to see Ellie Goulding at 6pm at the Google+ stage at Lollapalooza.  The Google+ stage was in a tree lined area off the path so I was very happy to see that the area was jammed pack with people anticipating to see her specifically.

Once she took the stage, she made a comment about how…

Ellie Goulding - Royal Oak Theater - Detroit 8/02/11.

The last time I witnessed Ellie Goulding she was very ill.  This show in Royal Oak was my first real opportunity to see her live 100% and she delivered.  With a beefed up set list she took the stage receiving an overwhelming roar from the crowd.  At times she questioned why the crowd was quiet but I myself having…

Robyn and Natalia Kills - Royal Oak Theater - Detroit MI. 06/04/11 & Lifestyles Pavilion -Columbus OH. 06/05/11.

I had the pleasure to experience a Natalia Kills/Robyn marathon over the weekend thanks to the rescheduling of two canceled shows. Saturday June 4 was a Detroit MI. show and Sunday June 5 was a Columbus OH. show.…

Far East Movement featuring Kayla Kai - Valparaiso University - Valparaiso, IN. 04/28/11.

I have seen and documented Far East Movement shows for a year now.  This particular show however was the very first headlining show I had witnessed.   For the most part they would have intro music to open the show lasting maybe 1 minute and the guys would come out and start the show.  This show started out with DJ…

Ellie Goulding - Lincoln Hall - Chicago, IL. 3/30/11.

Ellie Goulding played Chicago's Lincoln Hall on March 30, 2011.  It was a sell out crowd and Ellie was very ill this night but all the patrons adored her and her artistry to the point of when realizing she was having issues singing, collectively the crowd would sing loudly to assist her which she appreciated.  Below…

Robyn and Natalia Kills - Radio City Music Hall - New York City 02/05/11

When I heard about the NYC trip I didn't think much of going because its roughly 600 miles away.  However when I discovered that Robyn was playing the famed Radio City Music Hall my interest immediately was peaked and going to this show was a must.  I was proud to be the guy in Detroit at the club watching…

Far East Movement featuring FrankMusik and Tamar Kaprelian - Allstate Arena - Chicago, IL. 12/11/10

I found out about this show right before it sold out. It was a Christmas show for a radio station in Chicago. The ticket was really bad so I chose this show to test out the Ustream and stream the show live to any rec'ers who found out about it. The ustream worked though the picture is bad but the cool thing…

Far East Movement Bonus - The Enclave & Vision After Parties - Chicago, IL. 10/03/13

Chicago was a great town to FM. After their set they played a club called The Enclave and partied even after that place closed called Vision. I was able to video the Enclave set. Jason DeRulo was kicking it next to us.…

Far East Movement - The Filmore - Detroit, MI. 10/16/20.

The last show I went of FM in 2010 was in Detroit Mi. At this point I had plenty of footage and for once i was going to enjoy the show without filming. This crowd was not forgiving and were hard on the opening acts but when FM came on the crowd exploded with excitement. This show was the first show I had seen them have to be escorted out of the building through a mob.…

Far East Movement - House of Blues - Chicago, IL. 10/2/10

Two days prior to this show I had seen them in Indianapolis. The venue was the famed House of Blues. The room they played is upstairs. When FM hit the stage, the much younger crowd, I would guess average age or 15, went CRAZY. I started to question the structural integrity of the building because the stage was bouncing and the floor was bouncing which made filming almost impossible.…

Cherrytree Times Square Part 2: Frank Vincent, Colette Carr, and Far East Movement.

The camera bit was a disaster at this show for me. I did not get any good pics once Far East Movement took the stage. The treat was the guest spots...fellow Cherrytree Artists Vincent Frank and Colette Carr came out and did renditions of "Fighting for Air" and "Go Ape".…
