Ivy Levan’s cat is her best friend, and she wanted her to come to life in her ‘Hang Forever’ video. You’ll see what we mean when you watch the cute (but kind of creepy) exclusive behind-the-scenes clip above.
Though the song is actually based on a bond between Ivy and one of her human friends — “We have [tattoos of] nooses on our middle fingers … we wanted to hang forever,” she…

How did your Southern upbringing influence your sound?
My roots are strong. I came up from a small town in Arkansas so I always had the will to work hard and stay humble. Cherrytree Recording artist Ivy Levan, who recently performed with Sting on The Late Show With David Letterman, has released the psychedelic film noir video for her single, “Hang Forever,” and RyanSeacrest.com has the premiere. Even if that doesn't sound like you're thing, trust us; she's fantastic! Ivy's essentially a hybrid of Adele and Amy Winehouse, but with a darker glamorous flare! She's a crazy, sexy, cool,…Continue

The Dame EP is sort of a concept album, so the three videos tell a black and white mini-noir tale of crime and murder, with the conclusion in the forthcoming video for “Hang Forever.” In the video for “Hot Damn” Levan looks like a homicidal '50s housewife when she uses cookware to dispatch a gang of animal-masked thugs roughing up her restaurant’s customers. She gives the camera…Continue
