The Jeff Bhasker-produced cut closes the album, and it’s not difficult to see why: As a statement of intent for her whole new sound, it’s as on-the-nose as they come. Soaring arena rock choirs of “Whoa”s frame Kills’ voice, which sounds raspier and more exhausted here than elsewhere on the record (in a great way).
