Extremely excited about all of these gigs, Friendly Fires will definitely be a party in itself, I mean Ed's dancing is just wow! Snow patrol are legends, such a classic band so that'll be good! Laura Marling, she's beautiful and I've never been a proper folky kind of…Continue

I've never really been a big fan of remixes, they often kill songs and make them sound just bloody awful. But after searching Noah and the Whale on soundcloud out of curiosity, I came across two remixes which were from Noah and the Whale's own account which is cool!
The first is this, it's a great Bibio remix of Waiting For My Chance To Come. It's unlike anything I've ever heard and it makes the song sound totally different but It doesn't ruin it, I love the song and I…Continue

Apologies for not posting lately but I was going to wait and then have a fab post about how great Friendly Fires were at Rock City in Notts but unfortunately, Ed has got a throat infection so they had to cancel :( Luckily though they have been arranging more dates so that shouldn't be too far away and you'll have lots of awesome pictures of Ed dancing through the gig!
Charlie (natw) and Ed should totally have a dance off.
Anyway, keep viewing and you'll soon find…Continue

The first song I heard from Laura Marling was ''My Manic and I'' I really did enjoy the song but the music at the time I was listening to was so different I just never really took any interest after that one encounter.
Recently I have re-discovered her and I am very, very impressed! She's a beautiful singer with a such a delicate voice and what I like most is how diverse her songs are. You have ''Blackberry Stone'' from I Speak Because I Can which has a very, I suppose,…Continue

Cora Hamiltion is a 15 year old girl from the UK who has lately been posting covers of songs onto her Sound Cloud and they are breath-takingly fantastic. Like many would, I had a slight impression before listening to them that they would be the average kareoke-type cover just like every other teen who wishes to be an artist, but I could not be more wrong as Cora is extremely talented. Although It Isn't exactly my choice of program, Cora is auditioning for Britain's Got Talent UK very…Continue

Recently i have been listening to a lot of Noah and the Whale's extra tracks on Youtube and they're really, really good. The album, Noah and the Whale present: the A sides is more punky and contains some covers and a hardcore version of ''Hold My Hand as I'm Lowered'' which is epic! My favourite's are ''Jealous Kind of Love'' and ''Black Cab''. I heard these CDs and Vinyls were extremely hard to get hold of now as…Continue

Please bare in mind im not a music reviewer or anything like that! Just a sixteen year old girl that loves music, goes to a lot of gigs and epicly fangirls over Noah and the Whale.
Saw these guys just over two weeks ago now at Nottingham's Rock City and i am still trying to get over how brilliant they are and were at the concert ~post concert depression~ haha. I've seen them before, back in May 2011, at Nottingham's Rescue Rooms, in which they were equally brill.

They are the reason why i am still here today. They had such a huge impact on my life since i first found out about them in 2007. They are not JUST a band to me. Whenever i was depressed, they told me DON'T JUMP. When i wanted to rebel, the told me to SCREAM. Their lyrics are like the sound track to my life. The things i cant explain, they write as lyrics to their songs. They have changed my life to the positive and i don't know what I'd do without them. They made me realize who i…Continue
