Not many British bands these days have more than one million-selling album, let alone three. Fewer still manage to replicate - and maintain - that success outside the UK. And only a tiny number are able to continually develop their sound as their career progresses. But, in the last decade, Keane have… Continue

"Night Train features eight powerful new tracks and includes genre-busting collaborations with Somali rapper K'naan and Japanese rapped MC Tigarah (remember this?). For the first time, Tim Rice-Oxley also contributes vocals to the album. Songs for this new record were written and recorded during the…Continue

had a really great day with Tim and Tom in Tim's studio yesterday. I went there to take some photos, and ended up laying down some drum tracks on a couple of songs. was nice to use the drums I bought Tim about 2 years ago, precisely for moments like this! only four mics around the kit, but it sounded great. anyway, I remembered to take some photos, and here they are. American Eagle Outfitters, in partnership with Filter Magazine, has this week launched Hear To Help, an exclusive compilation CD to benefit relief and recovery efforts in Haiti. And we're pleased to report that it features an exclusive Keane track - the French version of Black Burning Heart, which the band recorded in the summer of 2008, but which has never previously been released. This is me at home on the piano (yes just got out of bed) playing an old Pet Shop Boys b-side that I’ve always loved. In this case, a release from prejudice and a sense of hope…
A film named ‘The Scouting Book For Boys’ is released on March 19th. This is exciting for many reasons. Not only because it is an absolute corker of a film and stars, among many other great performances, the unstoppable Thomas Turgoose. It also features six Noah and the Whale songs on the soundtrack. The tracks are mostly from the first record and one b-side. Here is a trailer;
More information can be found on the film… Continue
