Directed by vocalist and songwriter Charlie Fink, the film 'The First Days of Spring' will feature the album of the same name as the songs soundtrack. The film will be released in a selection of cinemas across the UK on August 31.

The First Days of Spring is the follow-up to the London-based quartet’s Gold-selling 2008 debut, Peaceful, The World Lays Me Down. Right. On to the review. This is an album about a breakup, very openly and obviously. Laura Marling, ex-member of Noah and the Whale has split from singer Charlie Fink and the result, is this. Considering the youth of the pair, you would be forgiven for expecting a cliché ridden revenge album. This is most definitely not the case.
