Check out the New York Times' review of La Roux's live performance in NYC earlier this week.
"The self-titled La Roux debut album, released in the United States last month (it was a hit in England this summer), is dizzying fun. Ms. Jackson, who recalls early Madonna, or even Neneh Cherry, sounds coy even when she's mad, but thanks to the lush, throbbing arrangements, she is never chilly, never off-putting"…
"La Roux's tunes - which the pair cut in Langmaid's living room - feature staccato synths over pulsing beats and Jackson's insistent high-pitched vocals... "All the songs are sad," says Jackson, who shed tears in the recording sessions. "It was quite intense."
La Roux will appear on MTV's "Discover and Download", their track "Bulletproof" will be added in to rotation on MTV, MTV2, & MTV-HITS! As well as "In For The Kill" which will be added to mtvU!
Rotation starts Monday - tune in!
