Martin's Photo Blog - Germany

Last week I went to Germany to meet up with colleagues and also catch some of Natalia Kills' promotional activities.  I even accompanied Ms. Kills on the piano at a few radio station visits.  That was fun.  I snapped a few photos along the way, of course, for my CherrytreeRecords.com photo blog and here they are starting with Natalia Kills being interviewed at NRJ Radio in Berlin below.…

Martin's Photo Blog from Europe #3

"New York, London, Paris, Munich: talk about ... pop music." Actually, just Paris and London right now. Here are some more snaps from my camera from this last week. Below, Far East Movement are greeted by paparazzi outside the entrance of NRJ radio.

New Noah and the Whale Blog Entry

I watch very little television but just recently my attention was drawn to a BBC2 documentary called ‘A Band For Britain’. The programme follows Sue Perkins as she attempts to breathe new life into the Dinnington Colliery Brass Band. It was quite simply one of the funniest, most moving and most affecting things I have ever seen.

I have two reasons to be particularly vulnerable to a programme like this. Firstly because on my mother’s side of my family, my great grandfather was a coal… Continue

Richard's Pictures from Tim's Studio

howdy,

had a really great day with Tim and Tom in Tim's studio yesterday. I went there to take some photos, and ended up laying down some drum tracks on a couple of songs. was nice to use the drums I bought Tim about 2 years ago, precisely for moments like this! only four mics around the kit, but it sounded great. anyway, I remembered to take some photos, and here they are. Hope everyone is well, and rest-assured, we are looking forward to coming out to…

Blog Entry from Noah and the Whale: European Tour

Hello

We have some new European tour dates posted on our myspace. Take a look see if it's in a town near you.

Things are going extremely well in the studio, we've got seven tracks written and nearly demoed now and we're starting to wind up for the Roundhouse show in March. However despite this great mass of activities our bass player Urby Whale seems to have found his way back onto the silver screen.

Here are some recent photos of Urby;…

Blog from Noah and the Whale - FILM 2010

Exciting news friends.

A film named ‘The Scouting Book For Boys’ is released on March 19th. This is exciting for many reasons. Not only because it is an absolute corker of a film and stars, among many other great performances, the unstoppable Thomas Turgoose. It also features six Noah and the Whale songs on the soundtrack. The tracks are mostly from the first record and one b-side. Here is a trailer;

More information can be found on the film… Continue

Blog from Noah and the Whale - Happy New Year

Hello

First off, sorry for such a lengthy silence on this website. Amongst many new years resolutions, to be a more a devoted blogger ranks moderately high.

I haven’t much to report, I spent my Christmas making the first serious steps on the writing of the next record. I have a pretty clear idea now of what I want it to be and have about four songs that I’m very pleased with. We’re spending the next couple of months demoing in a converted synagogue.

I’ve already…
