"At 15 years of age, Reema is a true master of ceremonies, and she possesses the ability to command, energize, captivate, and entertain a crowd, unlike any other teenage Hip-Hop recording artist that I have ever come across."

Toronto has one talented 15-year old sensation that has been tearing up the scene since she appeared on this year’s edition of BET’s coveted awards cypher (BET’s freestyle session). Of course, I’m referring to Reema Major. The amount of swag that this young girl brings to the table is incredible. From the moment she stepped foot on stage in her blue tutu, she went hard. She carries herself as if she was a 10 year vet, because her demeanour and attitude are so raw. She gave everybody in… Continue

Singing songs from her fourth self-titled album (2008) and Body Talk Part 1, 2, and 3 (which all came out this year) she had more than enough songs to choose from. During “U Should Know Better,” a duet with Snoop Dogg, she slows down the tempo, singing a stage single version of the track, the band interluding the electronic sounds during the Snoop Dogg verse(unfortunately, he couldn’t make it). While singing “With Every Heartbeat,” the ballad that helped emerge her career from obscurity, the… Continue

Three years on and Robyn has managed to stay ahead of the curve: where once she was subverting song structure, now she is subverting release structure with her Body Talk project, which has seen her serve up three albums in less than six months. Far from being a victory for quantity over quality, however, Body Talk Pt 1 and Body Talk Pt 2 have been greeted with near-universal acclaim, and the final installment, a quasi-best-of featuring five songs from the first… Continue

The biggest moment would come during "Dancing on my Own," the lead single from the Body Talk series, with an entire crowd dancing and throwing their arms up in unison, it really is something to witness and admire. After 90 minutes, she closed with cover of Abba's "Dancing Queen" and the song that gained her international attention "Show Me Love," she left the stage exhausted but overjoyed and the crowd felt exactly the same. As she sings in her current single… Continue

Pop music used to be something light and fun, but Natalia Kills makes it dark, red, and leather-clad in the best way possible. Dressed like a dominatrix and accompanied by two stripping dancers, the electro pop diva-in-training showed the crowd why her last name is the worst kind of threat. Ms. Kills choked and dragged her dancers around the stage as she performed favorites like "Mirrors" and "Love is a Suicide," belting out vocals over hard-hitting… Continue

What did you do in 2010? If you're Robyn, you released three albums of pitch-perfect robo-pop, performed at the MTV Video Music Awards, toured relentlessly, provided the soundtrack to a key "hate sex" scene on "Gossip Girl" and established yourself as your favorite pop star's favorite pop star. And that's just here in the States.

Robyn's Body Talk is getting a proper LP release this month, when she releases 10 tracks from her two EPs with five new ones. A Swedish blog has got its hands on four of those new ones, and they are over here for you to listen to . Amongst the songs is the awesome Max Martin-collabo called "Time Machine" which features Robyn wishing for a Delorean. Yeah. Pop album of the year? I think so.

I’m terrible at taking pictures, I just never do it. When I met Far East Movement last year, I didn’t even touch my camera. So this night, like every other “best night of my life” went undocumented. But maybe my colorful language can help paint you a picture far prettier than anything I could have captured on film.
I’m also a college student and now that it is towards the end of the semester, all the money I used to buy text books and concert tickets in the early fall had hit its… Continue

Debauchery is what drives us all -- that certain wild, animalistic and selfish hedonism. Isn't that the whole nature of having fun as a human being? Because I know I'm certainly having fun on my most debaucherous moments on stage. I'm gonna prepare you -- it's going to be debaucherous. -Natalia Kills

Dark-pop diva Natalia Kills (think Sasha Gray meets Demi Lovato gone-bad) opened for Robyn at the Buckhead Theatre Monday night, and she killed! Almost literally, wielding an axe as she walked off the stage at the end of her set in front of hundreds of jaw-dropped gay boys who loved her first single, ‘Mirrors’!

You would surely agree that there are no possible circumstances under which news of a NEW SONG WITH LA 'ELLY JACKSON' ROUX

So get the bunting ready, for Elly is the guest vocalist on the new Chromeo single. The song is called 'Hot Mess' - it's a new version of the tune that's on Chromeo's current album - and it is out on January 17.

No words can describe the performance and talent of the artists I met Saturday evening at Club Firestone in Orlando. If I had to choose a few words, I would find "breath taking" or "surreal" inadequate to describe the mind blowing music and love I felt that night.
My friends, my mother, and I managed to make our way to front of the line before the doors opened, donning our Cherrytree Records shirts and I <3 Robyn pins, we waited a few hours enjoying the… Continue
