"There really wasn't much else for Robyn to do midway through her spirited, sweaty and downright sexy show on Wednesday (July 28) night at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York, so she decided to pull on a beret and eat a banana."
Check out the full review below or over on MTV.comThere really wasn't much…

Vulture directed your attention to the video for “Hang With Me” — the lead single off Robyn’s Body Talk Pt. 2 and a reworked version of the acoustic song of the same name from Body Talk Pt. 1 — yesterday , meaning by now you may have had a full day to appreciate the video. Pretty great, right? It gets immediate points for being a tour-life montage, a reliable approach that used to be omnipresent in the days when MTV featured a few less pregnant teenagers, but one that has now faded away.…

Those who have visited Dublin will know that sipping Guinness by a fire in a nice old pub while it's chucking it down outside is one of life's great pleasures. It's also, as you can probably imagine, the perfect setting for…

I didn't realise just how much I was going to cry today. I saw one of the saddest but greatest things I have seen in a while....Toy Story 3. Jesus wept, it killed me! Thank god for those 3D glasses at the cinema, my eyes were a mess!!! I thoroughly recommend you go see this film, so tastefully done too.
I went up to Islington in London with my girlfriend and went shopping. I have been trying to save money lately, but had to buy this when I saw it.…

Duuuude!! Being an independent (and very determined) artist ain't easy!! It's not so much the workload that is difficult, it's how time-consuming it is to do what some people may call viral marketing. When you don't have a label behind you, it takes a lot of time to try to get your music and face out there.
But I'm not complaining! I just started blogging my experiences as an independent artist (hopefully) soon-to-be signed or known. If anything for my own sanity, so I can keep track of…

Check out the
Spin review of the Los Angeles All Hearts Tour Concert below:
All that was missing from Robyn's set Friday at the opening night of the "All Hearts" tour at Los Angeles' Music Box theater was a giant disco ball.
Everything else was in place: footloose fans who arrived early for Englishman Dan Black's good-humored set and stayed in motion during Far East Movement's DJ stylings;…

A platinum-blond proponent of Scandinavian efficiency, the Swedish electro-pop singer Robyn wasted no time getting to her point Friday night at the Henry Fonda Music Box Theater in Hollywood. “I’ve got some news for you,” she sang less than a minute into her hour-long set, “Fembots have feelings too.”
Friday’s sold-out concert kicked off a joint U.S. tour by Robyn and Kelis, the adventurous R&B star best known for her 2003 hit “Milkshake.” Both women have new albums to promote,…

Truck Fest Day 2. Brontide (my other band) were playing today. Up at 10 and straight to the stage to fix all our broken equipment! New drum heads, cymbals, strings flying everywhere trying to get ready for our set at 12.20. We were super excited. We've never really played anywhere that big before with this band! We were setting up and there were maybe 5 people in the barn, was this really going to be that embarrassing?! We came off stage and our intro started, and as we walked back on to play,…

Soooooo. To buy tickets for the tour, please click
HERE.
Also, sadly someone somewhere made a balls up and we're not booked to play Birmingham after all. Something about a spoken word thing happening in the room next door and us disturbing it. Yawn. Sorry Brummies.

Truck Festival! Headed off on a little road trip today down to Oxford for Truck Festival. My friend Tim was playing with his other band "Malpas", so we all went down with him. Unlike most the festivals I have done with La Roux this summer, it was very small and chilled. Quite a hippy festival really, a real lovely atmosphere. We listened to The Bronx back catalogue on the way down to Oxford which put us all in great moods! Straight on to site and down to the tent where Timmy was…

This was supposed to be a very productive day. get home early, do some writing, see my parents yadda yadda, but it really didn't work out this way! Didn't get to rehearsals until 6pm, wrote for 2 hours (still got a new song mind you) then got into my parents house at about 9! They'd cooked me dinner and had been waiting :( I felt pretty bad, I'm not going to lie. It's really nice to go back up north to see my family and dog. Not much has changed in the little village of Collingham, and that's…
