As a nice surprise today, I was invited to go see my friend Steph and his band Gallows support Cypress Hill! Frank the frontman realised that the response wasn't as good as one would have hoped, and held it together so well..."Who invited the Stoners? F**k off home". Well said.
I am writing this in the changeover between the two bands. The change over used to excite me so much, and now I know that people will just be getting ready and that the mysterious backstage, isn't really that… Continue

"I love being on stage and performing with my band, but I think once you
take the music out of the studio, something happens and it takes on a
life of its own. That's the most amazing thing about being on the road
because you get to experience how the music is making its own way into
people's lives and that's really really nice."

"“Play me some new kind of sound/Something true and sincere,” she sings in “None of Dem,” produced by the Norwegian electronic-music duo Royksopp. But her swagger hasn’t left her. The album’s grating opener, whose full title is unprintable here, makes a litany of complaints feel like a string of boasts. And “Dancehall Queen,” an ode to 1990s Euro-dub produced by Mr. Ahlund and Diplo, finds her alone in a crowd again, but without the angst. “I came to dance, not… Continue

The problem with popping back home for a few days at a time, is that you end up throwing a lot of stuff on the floor and rushing out back on tour again.
As we're back for a few days, I have no excuse not to knuckle down and tackle this mess!…

I'm ruined. Absolutely ruined.
Festival season has well and truly started. We got back from the Isle of Wight this morning and to say I am tired is an understatement, that and the jet-lag from the US tour. We stayed up until the early hours eating Kit Kats and Frazzles (which are these Bacon Flavoured crisps...other worldly).
I was just explaining to a friend how the summer is the best time to be in a band. You hang out with all your friends in other bands, play big shows… Continue

Festival season has well and truly begun.
We've spent the day at the Isle of Wight for the festival, and I had forgotten just how much I love this part of the year.
We played to 10,000 people tonight right before Orbital. The stage was enormous and the tent was rammed. We had keyboard problems, but that's nothing new! Mickey covered it well, and I'm not sure many people actually realised... I got a text from my sister saying it was live on TV too! Luckily it wasn't the… Continue

It really is so nice to be back in London. I do complain about it all the time but being back in familiar surroundings in your own house is the one.
Today, we met up at our usual rehearsal space to get everything ready for festival season, which I am so pleased to say starts TOMORROW! We head down to the Isle of White festival in, surprisingly, The Isle of White. Some great bands playing, particularly 'Maplas' who I am very excited to catch live again on the acoustic… Continue
