I use a software program called ProTools for recording, editing sequencing, and mixing. Its the industry standard software (every major studio uses it) They're different versions of it an HD version (which is the most powerful and most expensive just to get started it'll run anywhere from 10,000-20,000) the other versions are for home studios the LE version and M-Powered versions. You can buy something as low as 500. I get all the instrument sounds from a software program called Reason. If you have any questions i'll be glad to help.
