Hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan, VC and iRAWniQ have no problem standing out. Their trendy attire is sure to make heads turn, however, true colors really begin to gleam once you hear them. Fusing elements of hip hop, rock, and electronica, Flying Without Wingz truly beholds an incredible, fun, original sound.
Their high-energy performance is something many artists lack now days–as their creativity is too. Formed in early 2009, FW² have burst their way from their hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan to states across the Midwest. Being local celebrities is not enough for these two youngsters as they plan to hit some major cities summer 2010 with newly signed label Dandy Kid Records.
Awarded “Next to Blow” at the 2009 Grand Rapids Hip-Hop Awards, the duo is sure to live up to their title. Their mixtape entitled HipTRONica, has sparked the interest of people nationwide. Their most recent endeavor, No Wingz Allowed, an EP released through Dandy Kid Record, was launched internationally on Beatport May 2010. Known for an incredibly energetic live show, FW² have shared the stage with 88 Keys, Kidz In The Hall, Donnis, Izza Kizza, Slum Village, Flynn Adams, Juiceboxx, Super Dre, Jon Connor and many others while playing countless shows throughout the Midwest. Their fan base continues to grow and the act finds itself ready and able to fly even higher in 2010.
