To who to may concern,
The music business is a tough industry to break into, being either an artist, or even just someone who wants to work in the industry!
Music is my passion, inspiration, and favorite pastime, and though I'd love to be an artist, I dream of working for a label like Cherrytree. I completely believe in pursuing ones aspirations, but finding the path to success is hard!
Right now I'm just trying to find a way to get my foot in the door. I've recently moved to New York City from my small town in Colorado and have been working for a celebrity and fashion photographer. The experience has been amazing, but it's lead me to realize that I need to get started on my true career right now!
Though I understand jobs are posted online at this location:
http://www.careers-umusic.com/umusic/jobboard/searchjobs.aspx
It's difficult to get a useful response with a computer database controlling my destiny.
I was simply wondering if there are any internships available through Cherrytree records (specifically in New York.) I'm hoping there is a human resource representative, or email address to send a cover letter and resume too. Any contact or information has got to be better than submitting to a database right?
I know I've got the drive, passion and skills to succeed, the problem is getting noticed and started on my career! Any advice from anyone is a step in the right direction.
Thank you!
